About Our School
Rocky Mountain Chinese School (RMCS) is a small non-profit educational institution whose mission is teaching and sharing the Mandarin language and cultural traditions of the Chinese-speaking world. Since 1985, we have educated more than a thousand children and adults in the Denver/Boulder area.
- For children who are new to Mandarin, there is a track for Chinese as Second Language (CSL). Due to resource constraints, there is no longer a separate accelerated track for students who already speak Mandarin at home.
- Our adult classes teach conversational skills for business and travel.
- Every year, we offer a summer camp for children ages 4-16.
RMCS classes are held at Alexander Dawson School in Lafayette, Colorado. Classes are held on Sunday afternoons between 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Classes are in session September – December (fall) and January – May (spring). For each session, language classes run for 12 weeks and enrichment classes for 10 weeks.
